Daniel Romein was selected for the 2020 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Europol’s Child Abuse Image Geolocated in Ukraine: A Forgotten Story Hidden Behind a Landscape’.
Daniel Romein lives in the Netherlands. He studied computer science and has been working in the ICT industry for about 20 years. He joined Bellingcat in 2014 to research the MH17 tragedy. His research is often related to Russia and Ukraine, other research topics are IS terrorism and Europol’s ‘Stop Child Abuse’ campaign.
