Katrin Kuntz
Katrin Kuntz is Deputy Head of the Foreign Desk of Der Spiegel.
Before joining Der SPIEGEL in 2013, she attended the German School of Journalism in Munich, studied Spanish and French Philology, and wrote as a freelancer for several German magazines and newspapers. She reports from Asia, North America, and the Middle East and has covered conflict zones worldwide.
Working on a wide range of topics with a focus on socio-political issues she is always interested in what moves humanity. She has won the 2019 European Press Prize Distinguished Reporting Award with “Fifty-Six Days of Separation”.
