Peter Preston

Peter Preston is the chairman of the Preparatory Committee. He was the editor of the Guardian in London for twenty years. He is now co-director of the Guardian Foundation. Previously Peter Preston worked as a political reporter, war correspondent and daily columnist.

Today, he writes a weekly page of media comment for the Observer. Peter Preston served as world chairman of the International Press Institute and as chairman of the Association of British Editors. He has published two novels.
