Julia Korbik was selected for the 2021 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Sisters of Europe.’

Julia Korbik is a freelance journalist and author based in Berlin. She mainly writes about politics and pop culture from a feminist point of view. Julia is the author of three books: Stand Up. Feminismus für Anfänger und Fortgeschrittene, an introduction to feminism for young people (2014), Oh, Simone! Warum wir Beauvoir wiederentdecken sollten (2017) and How to be a Girl (2018).

Amélie Losier

Amélie Losier was selected for the 2021 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Sisters of Europe.’

Amélie Losier was born in France. She studied German literature and history and took classes at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. She then studied documentary photography with Professor Arno Fischer in Berlin. She is living and working as a freelance photographer in Berlin for German and international newspapers and magazines. Losier loves portrait work, street photography and also produces multimedia stories in her own projects. Gender issues and the life of women are some of her main interests. She is a member of the photojournalism association FREELENS and is represented by the photo press agency FOCUS. Her photographic projects have been shown in many solo and group exhibitions, as well as published in books (Just like a Woman, New York City, SAYEDA, Women in Egypt).
