Akos Stiller
Akos Stiller was selected for the 2021 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘Sisters of Europe.’
Akos Stiller was born in Budapest, Hungary, in 1982. In 2007, he started to work as a photojournalist for hvg, the Hungarian business weekly and currently takes assignments for the National Geographic, Spiegel, Stern, Bloomberg, New York Times, and Washington Post amongst others. Over the years, Akos has won 20 awards in the Hungarian Pictures of the Year, and has been selected for the prestigious Joop Swart Masterclass in 2014, organised by World Press Photo. With his picture story on the Hungarian farmlands, in 2015 Akos has been awarded a first place in feature picture story category in the Pictures of the Year International (POYi).

Helene Bienvenu is a journalist based in Budapest, focused on telling about ‘the unknown and the little known’ covering Central Europe and Eastern Europe at large, sometimes even stretching to Detroit, MI (where she carried an interactive documentary: www.diy-manifesto.com). She works for French and English speaking media such as the New-York Times, Deutsche Welle, Al-Jazeera, LaCroix, La Tribune de Genève.
