Denisa Gdovinová was selected for the 2019 European Press Prize shortlist with ‘If We Were Roma, We Would Not Come Back from Britain

Denisa Gdovinová has been a reporter at Slovak magazine .tyzden for more than four years. In .tyzden, Denisa focuses on social issues including education, health care, and lifestyle trends in society. She has a Master’s degree in journalism from the Comenius University in Bratislava.

Hugo Franco, b. 1973. Graduated in Sciences of Communication at ISCSP, Universidade de Lisboa. Reporter from Expresso (newspaper based in Lisbon) since 2006. Expert in crime and terrorism. Wrote the book ‘Portuguese Jihadists’, 2015 (Lua de Papel/Leya). Won in 2015 the award ‘Prémio Reportagem Cáceres Monteiro’, by Group Impresa, with reports about Jihad; won the ‘European Press Prize 2016 (The Innovation Award)’ with the multimedia report: ‘Killing and Dying for Allah: Five Portuguese Members of Islamic State’.
