She has investigated how biometric data endangers people’s lives in Afghanistan, how call centres use AI emotion recognition to monitor employees, the security risks of location data from smartphone apps, and other AI and automation topics. Her work has won the Grimme Online Award, the German Computer Science Journalism Prize and the Punkt Award for technology journalism.
