Nikos Chrysoloras joins Preparatory Committee for 2017 Awards
The European Press Prize starts a new tradition. Every year, one of our laureates will join the preparatory committee. As they reflect the highest standards of quality journalism, they are perfectly suited for reading the entries and choosing the articles for the shortlist. We are happy to announce that Bloombergs Nikos Chrysoloras, winner of the commentator award in our very first year of existence, has agreed to reinforce the team selecting this year’s shortlisted articles.
The European Press Prize encourages journalists to enter from all the corners of Europe (from Russia to Portugal and Iceland to Greece) and in any European language.
Nikos Chrysoloras is the Bureau Chief in Brussels at Bloomberg News. Before joining one of the world’s largest news gathering operations, he was a journalist at Kathimerini, Greece’s newspaper of record. He holds a PhD in Government from the London School of Economics and won the “Commentator Award” of the 2013 European Press Prize. Born in 1980, he grew up in Serifos, Greece, and has lived in Syros, Athens, Aberystwyth, London and Brussels.
